Everybody either loves or hates the old Mark 1 escort.
Daves project has a slight twist ..

His Mark 1 Ford Escort equipped with the bubble guards, a full set of coilover suspension, and a Ford 9" diff is completely setup for his Lexus 1UZFE Twin Turbo repower.

The rollcage was fabricated by Mark Herbert, but all of the engineering work has been done by Dave.

He has been slowly working away at his Lexus 1UZFE engine, which is now a complete short block equipped with custom JE slipper skirt forged pistons, forged conrods, and a shim under bucket conversion, allowing him to run high lift cams.

Dave's 1UZFE is going to have a pair of staunch XS-Power T3/T4's hung off the side for extra measure, all controlled by an Autronic ECU.

The Escort is still very much in the early stages of its build, however this little beast should be good for frying tyres all day long.
